Shop Hours and Annual End of Year Sale

Morning Everyone!

Wanted everyone to know that the shop is going to be closed the week of Christmas.  The shop will be closed from Monday, December 23rd through Saturday December 28th.  Ms. Sandra is taking a well deserved rest.  The shop will reopen on Monday, December 30th for our Annual Year End Sale.  For those of ya'll who have come in the past, you know we want to sell it rather than have to count it on New Year's Day.  So these are going to be the specials:

All bolted fabric will be 20% off the price marked, and will be 25% off if you buy what's left on the bolt.  Our three new Moda lines, Midwinter Reds, Wish You Were Here and Soho Chic will be marked down 10% (which will be a total of 20% as we marked them down 10% when they arrived).  If you buy what's left on the bolts, we will give you 15% off those, as well.  All Moda precuts will be 10% off the price marked with some marked down an additional 20%.

All patterns, kits, books and notions will be 20% off the price marked as well. Batting and quilting services will not be on sale.

In addition, anyone who spends over $25 with us during the sale will get a free gift!  We will also have hot chocolate and cookies for everyone!

Stop by and see us on Monday and Tuesday, December 30 and 31st to snatch up some of these great deals for your winter project making.

The store will be closed on New Year's Day, as we will be taking inventory.  The shop will re-open on Friday, January 3rd as usual.

Hope you all have been able to stay warm and dry during these cold wet days of December.  If I don't see you before, everyone have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy, Prosperous and Safe New Year.

Take care!

Purse Class - Saturday, December 14th

Morning Everyone!

Hope you all had a safe and happy Thanksgiving Holiday!  I mentioned in a previous post about a purse class I will be having the 2nd Saturday of December...December 14th, beginning at 9:00 a.m.  This will be to make the Steel Ball purse.  This purse pattern is quick and relatively easy.  I showed Margaret how to make it a week ago Saturday, and she spent all week making presents for families and friends, so I think I can safely say it is addictive, as well!  The cost of the class is $25 per person.  We will be making one complete purse in class, so when you leave you will have completed the pattern from start to finish.  There are so many ways you can make this and individualize it to the people you want to make it for....it really is loads of fun.  Another great thing about this purse is the ability to change it according to your style, season, etc.  The way the handle is constructed, you can make a new bag and slip it onto the same handle.  It also comes in two sizes, the smaller one that I have been using all year and the pictures below show the larger one.  The cost of the pattern is $8.00 per pattern (there is a separate pattern for the larger and the smaller bag).  The cost of the handles are $14.95 + tax for the smaller and $16.95 + tax for the larger.  The handles come in three color variations, polished silver, antique silver and antique bronze.  Here are some pictures of the bags Margaret made last week (these are all the larger bag except for the pink chevron pattern bag, which is the smaller).

In order to make this bag for class, you will need to bring with you, or of course we will have supplies available at the shop to purchase:

Two - 1/2 yard width of fabric of coordinating prints
1/2 yard of fusible pellon (we have this at the shop)
Handle for the size bag you wish to make
Pattern(s)

We need you to call the shop at (931) 682-3746 and let us know you wish to come to the class.  We are requiring a prepayment of the class fee in order to hold your spot.  I will be getting some more handles in before class so we will have a wide variety for you to choose from.  You have until December 11th to sign up for this class.  If I don't have at least three people wanting to the take the class by the 11th, I am going to have to cancel the class.  I know there are several ladies who have wanted to take this class and each time I have scheduled it in the past, the timing hasn't been right, so I sincerely hope this will work with everyone's schedule!

Ya'll have a great week, and I'll see you down at the shop soon!

Sale for Black Friday

Hey everyone!

Wanted to let everyone know we are having a Black Friday sale at the shop.  We are giving 25% off all bolted fabric, except the three new Moda lines, and 10% off most everything else in the store.  In addition, there will be a few unannounced great deals that you are going to have to stop by and check out while you are on your shopping spree on Black Friday.  All kits, patterns, books are going to be 10% off.  The batting and quilting services are, as usual, not included in our sale.  Some of the precuts will be marked down (also, does not include the new Moda lines).  All of our prepared quilts will be marked down 20% if you need that last minute gift and don't have time to make it yourself.

I am working on a new quilt to display at the shop using our Moda line, Soho Chic by Sandy Gervais.  This gorgeous line in jewel tones is going to really have those "Umbrella's Dancing", much like the name of the pattern I am using.  Last time I was at the shop, we only had one layer cake left from the Moda line Midwinter Reds, although we do still have some bolted fabric from that line in all four major color groups (red, cream, brown and a floral).  We also were running low on precuts from the Wish You Were Here line by Holly Taylor and Moda.  The quilt we made to display all the gorgeous warm tones from this line, is already at the shop to help give you great ideas.

I have also made a quilt I asked Sandra to display at the shop.  I am always talking to our quilting ladies (mostly)  and many have said they love the idea of precuts but are unsure how to incorporate them into their quilts.  I have made a quilt called "Silly Goose", which requires either 5" squares or 5" and 10" squares.  It was super fast to put together, and after I snowballed two opposing corners, I sewed another line 1/2" away from the center line and cut in between.  I trimmed all these cut offs and ended up with 82 4" half square triangles at the same time.  I then used the half square triangles as an additional border on the quilt.  It really was very fast and easy, so I hope it gives everyone some ideas.

I am going to the shop today to make a display handbag for the handbag class I am scheduling for the 2nd Saturday in December.  We have had ladies ask multiple times about a class for this bag, however, our schedules have never aligned.  So my last ditch attempt is going to be the 2nd Saturday in December.  I will write more details and put up some pictures before the weekend is out.

Everyone have a safe and warm weekend, and if I don't see you before, have the Happiest of Thanksgiving Holidays.

Take care!

Melissa

NEW FABRIC

Morning All:

I wanted to write and let everyone know that we went shopping yesterday.  We have quite a bit of new fabric for you to come take a look at as well as lots of new 108" backing pieces.

We also wanted to let everyone know that in regards to the precuts for Midwinter Reds, we are down to one layer cake (as of yesterday).  Unfortunately, I have already checked and cannot reorder the precuts from Moda.  We still have some bolted fabric from this line for sale.  We also still have some precuts from the Wish You Were Here fabric line by Holly Taylor.  I will be posting a picture of a quilt I made for the shop soon so ya'll can see how pretty this is....talk about warm and cozy....it begs for a good book and cup of hot tea.

We also have received the precuts and bolts for the line called Soho Chic by Sandy Gervais & Moda.  This is a set of beautiful jewel toned fabrics, including turquoise, aqua, green, purples, dark browns....I am working on a cute quilt for the shop to display.  These are gorgeous, rich colored prints and a must see....

I am going to be posting some information regarding a Black Friday sale at the shop in the next day or so....as well some information on one last quilt class for the year.

Hope everyone survives their Monday, and a little quiet sewing is on the agenda....

Everyone take care and have a good week!

Pictures & Moda Fabric

Hey Everyone!

Here are the pictures I have been promising FOREVER....sorry for the delay....wanted everyone to know that we only have four layer cakes and five or six charm square packs left of the Midwinter Reds....make sure if you want them to stop by real soon!  This picture is of a table runner Ms. Sandra made with the Midwinter Reds Line.  Excuse the picture quality as I stopped by her store at 6:00 a.m. one morning this week to take this picture.

We have four matching bolts of fabric from which this tablerunner was made...a gorgeous red tone on tone, a cocoa brown with red flowers, a cream with red flowers and the border print.  We also have two patterns designed by the fabric designers in the shop, one upon which this tablerunner was based.

I have three kits made up at the shop using this fabric, and if I remember correctly, two of them are full/queen sized and one is smaller, I believe.

Also wanted to show you the quilt I referenced in my last email, "Painted Ladies" by Fig Tree Quilts.  This quilt is made with one layer cake and fabric for sashings, cornerstones and outside border.

This quilt measures approximately 70 x 75ish....uses 30 layer cake squares for the butterflies.  You can easily make it bigger using all 42 layer cake squares for butterfly blocks...just increase the amount for sashings, cornerstones and outside borders.  We do have these patterns back in stock if you are interested.  I have one kit made up for this quilt this size (the fabrics are slightly different for sashings, cornerstones and outside border as the one pictured was made from my stash).

I sincerely believe we will have the rest of our Moda fabric in by the weekend, so stop by and see the other two collections, Wish You Were Here by Holly Taylor and Soho Chic by Sandy Gervais.  Wish You Were Here is a gorgeous line in autumnal tones including burgundy, green, cream, tans and blacks.  I have a quilt top made and am waiting for the bolts to arrive so I can finish it and post a picture.  We have received the bolts for Soho Chic and are waiting on the precuts (I am already looking for a pattern to use with  Soho Chic....cannot wait)!  This is a beautiful jewel-tone line in aqua blues, olive greens, soft creams, deep chocolates with a gorgeous floral along with a few geometric shapes....so EXCITED!

Also, don't forget we have gotten in several new patterns, including new precut patterns for those of us who can't get enough of the precuts...

Hope you all have a safe and WARM rest of your week (29...in October...BRRRRRRRRR) and I'll see you down at the shop!

New Fabrics from Moda!

Hey Everyone!

Wanted to let everyone know I have talked to our Moda rep today.....the bolts and precuts are on the way for the line by Sandy Gervais called "Soho Chic".....this was probably my favorite fall line that came out....it includes gorgeous jewel tone fabrics in aqua, teals, blacks, creams....cannot wait til it gets here...

Also found out that the bolts for our fall fabric line, "Wish You Were Here" by Holly Taylor, should be here shortly....if you haven't seen this, we have the precuts in and I am working on a quilt to showcase this beautiful line of fall fabric which includes blacks, tans, creams, burgundy and green......cannot wait to get my hands on the border fabrics.....

We have made two gorgeous quilt kits for the shop from the new Moda line called Midwinter Reds by Minck & Simpson....both  are queen sized and both are using new patterns we have in down at the shop!  I am so sorry I haven't yet put the picture up with the tablerunner that Ms. Sandra made, but it is top of my list this week now that the 15th tax deadline has passed.

For those of you who are part of our Block of the Month Club....I have finally gotten my version of the Tales of the First Ladies quilt completed... I am excited to see what it looks like quilted (I did my quilt in spring colors of pinks, lavenders, whites and greens).  Hope you all are doing great with yours.  Remember if you are having any problems, please let me know so we can help you with it.

Last but not least, we have some additional new patterns that have arrived this week.  For those who wanted the Painted Ladies quilt pattern (butterfly quilt at the shop) by Fig Tree Quilts, we received them with the shipment yesterday so they are now available.

I'll send out a quick email to everyone once the last of the new Moda fabrics are in so you can stop by and pick up what catches your eye.  Until then, be safe and I'll see you down at the shop sometime!

Take care!

Midwinter Reds are in stock!

Morning Everyone!

Sorry it has been so long since my last blog, but this end of the year tax season is a killer.  We wanted everyone to know we have the Midwinter Reds collection by Minck & Simpson in from Moda.  We have layer cakes, charm squares, jelly rolls and four coordinating bolts of fabric.  We also have many new patterns, and some more on the way.  Ms. Sandra (in all that spare time she has), has made a beautiful table runner with the Midwinter Reds for all to see and it should be up in the store, if not already then by weekend.  We have two Minck & Simpson patterns in stock created just for this fabric line.  I will be posting a picture of the table runner as soon as I can get by there this weekend to take it!

We have the precuts in for Wish You Were Here by Holly Taylor, but are still waiting on the bolts of coordinating fabric.  We also have Soho Chic coming in within the next month from Sandy Gervais by Moda.  Will let you know when we have all these in so you can stop by and take a peek.  As I mentioned, I have just placed a new order for patterns, so will probably have those in the shop in the next week or so.

Ms. Sandra has gotten busy lately, so she wanted everyone to know that her cut off for Christmas is going to be Saturday, October 19th.  If she has it by then, barring any unforeseen circumstances, she will be able to be sure to have it back to you before Christmas.  If you bring a project in for her to quilt after the 19th that you need by Christmas, there will be an additional overtime charge added to the bill.

We are already starting to look at a Block of the Month club for next year, since this year's has been really fun.  If you have any ideas, let us know....

Everyone have a fabulous weekend and enjoy this fall weather!  See you soon down at the Quilting Frame.

SALE....SALE....SALE...Begins This Saturday!

Morning Everyone!

Just a quick reminder that the fabric sale at the shop begins this Saturday, August 30th through Saturday, September 7th.  All bolted fabric is 20% off, you get an extra 5% if you finish the bolt.  All patterns, precuts, kits, books, etc, are going to be 10% off.  The only thing not included is the batting and quilting services.  Stop by and see us when you can during our sale and see what you can get at a great price.

If any of ya'll have quilt tops you have been wanting to bring down for Ms. Sandra to quilt, now would be a great time.  Her turnover right now is about 4-6 weeks instead of two months.  If you have quilts or quilted projects you are wanting for the Holidays, now is a great time to bring them by.

Everyone have a safe and fun Labor Day weekend.

Morning All:

I want to apologize to the ladies who had signed up, however, there was not enough people definitely signed up for the beginner's quilting class for the class to go ahead.  I will try to reschedule another beginner's quilting class sometime in the spring of 2014.

Beginner's Quilting Class - August 24, 2013 @ 9:00 a.m.

Hey Everyone!

Have ya'll ever had a project that you started that began acting like the Tribbles from the original Star Trek.....no matter how many blocks you completed, it seemed a never ending process?  Well, I had one of those this summer.  I began a quilt made entirely of pinwheel blocks when I went on Vacation the last week of May and I just finished it last Saturday.... 10 weeks.... seemed like a lifetime as I always have a long list of quilts I am dying to try.  In fact, I began three other projects while I was trying to complete the pinwheel quilt.... now I need to finish all those.... I think I am in some sort of never ending cycle, and I guess it must be fun because I just keep going, huh????

I wanted to remind everyone that I have a beginners quilting class scheduled to begin on August 24th.  However, at this moment I only have one lady confirmed to attend.  I have set aside nine Saturdays for this beginner's session.  We need at least two more participants for this class to go ahead.  If you are interested, please email us at thequiltingframe@gmail.com or call the shop at (931) 682-3746 and let us know.  The cut off date for signing up is next Wednesday, August 21st.  If we don't have three confirmed participants by that date, the class will be cancelled.  The cost of the nine week session is $95 per person.  I will provide a list of materials required once the class is confirmed.

Another couple of quick reminders for everyone:  we have a sale going on beginning Friday, August 30th and ending Saturday, September 7th.  Stop by and say hello and see what deals you can pick up while you are visiting!  Also, don't forget we have three new Moda lines of precuts on order with coordinating bolts.  These are Midwinter Reds by Minck & Simpson, Wish You Were Here by Holly Taylor and Soho Chic by Sandy Gervais.  We have also ordered new patterns for these.  As soon as they come in, we will start on shop examples and invite everyone down to enjoy!

Hope ya'll have a great week!  Take care and we hope to see you soon!

Melissa (one of Sandra's Elves)

P.S.  Everyone keep Sandra and Larry in your thoughts and prayers....Larry is having sinus surgery on Friday the 16th.  All good thoughts are appreciated!

UPCOMING SALE.....MARK THE DATE!

Hey Everyone!

As I have said in my previous posts, we have three new lines of precuts and coordinating bolts coming in in September and October along with some lovely new patterns.  In order to make plenty of room for these, we are going to have a sale over the Labor Day holiday weekend.  The sale begins Friday, August 30th and runs through Saturday, September 7th.  We will have 25% off all bolted fabric (this includes our 108" lining fabrics, also) and a good selection of our fabric marked down up to 50% off.  All precuts, books, patterns and notions will be 10% off during the sale.  Finished quilts will be discounted at 20%.  As usual, batting and quilting services are not included in the sale.

Mark the date and stop by and see us during this Holiday Sale week.

Take care, everyone!

Machine Applique Class for Block of the Month Members

Morning Everyone!

Yesterday, we had a couple of the ladies from the Block of the Month club ask about the machine applique class I had mentioned at our first meeting.  I had scheduled one machine applique class previously, however, I did not have enough participants interested and the class was cancelled.

We are going to schedule a machine applique class for the last Saturday in September (the 28th) to coincide with our block pick up date.  It will start at 9:00 a.m. and go to approximately 11:30ish.  The cost of this class will be $25 per person.  We will be working on Sunbonnet Sue and Overall Sam AccuQuilt Go cutouts.  These are done in precisely the same way we pieced the applique blocks on the Block of the Month quilt.  If you are interested and want to sign up, please call the shop at (931) 682-3746 or email us at thequiltingframe@gmail.com.  The cutouts are $2.00 each and have Steam A Seam already applied.  I will go through this process so you will know how we got to the already made cut outs.  You will need a background fabric square (I used 10" precut blocks) for each cut out.  You will need to bring your sewing machine that will do either a blanket stitch or zig zag stitch.  You will need all your usual sewing supplies.   Please let us know at your earliest convenience if you are interested in attending this class.

Hope you are all having fun piecing this gorgeous quilt, and remember we are always available to help!  Have a great week!

Dresden Plate / Grandmother's Fan Class, Aug 3rd.

Morning All:

Just a quick update.....the lady for whom I was going to have the Dresden Plate/Grandmother's Fan class for regardless, since this was the second time she had signed up, has called and said she will be unable to make it to the class.  Therefore, we would like to have three people signed up for the class to go ahead as is our usual custom.  The cut off date for signing up is next Wednesday, July 31st.  Please call the shop at (931) 682-3746 or email us at thequiltingframe@gmail.com to let us know if you are interested.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!  For those of you in our Block of the Month club, the blocks are ready so stop by when you can and pick them up!  If you have any questions, I will be at the shop tomorrow so bring them by and I'll be glad to help!

Take Care!

Upcoming Classes - Come and Join Us!

Good Morning Everyone!

Hope you have all had a fun July, and that you have been able to stay cool while having fun.  It is hard to believe school will be in session in another couple of weeks.  When I was a kid (yes...it was during the stone ages), we didn't go back to school til the last week of August....seems kids today are getting the short end.

Now for the fun.....these are the classes I have scheduled for the upcoming couple of months:

DRESDEN / GRANDMOTHER'S FAN:   The first class is the Dresden/Grandmother's Fan class.  The cost of the class is $25 per person and will be on Saturday, August 3rd beginning at 9:00 a.m..  We will be making Dresden blocks, and I will show you the Grandmother's Fan variation.  You can pre-cut your fan blades using the AccuQuilt Go at the shop ($0.50 per single cut).  The AccuQuilt has both the rounded edged blades and the pointed blades.  If you have been in the shop lately, you will have seen my black and white Dresden quilt, in which I used both types of blades.  I am also going to bring my Dresden ruler, so you can see how to use it to make the blades of varying sizes.  We have one lady signed up for this class, so please let us know if you are interested in attending.  I am going to have the class regardless, as this is the second time this lady has signed up.  I will post a supply list later today, both on the blog and at the shop.  This is one of the oldest quilt blocks, and really not complicated to produce.  Adding this to your repertoire will allow you to make one of the most coveted quilts among collectors.  As well, we will be using machine applique to attach the Dresden plates to the background blocks, so if you would like to brush up on this, this class is a great opportunity to accomplish two goals at the same time and for one class fee.

BEGINNING QUILTER'S CLASS:  We are having our once a year Beginning Quilter's Class beginning on August 24th @ 9:00 a.m.  The cost of this class is $95 per person for the entire 9 weeks of classes.  We will start at the very beginning, so if you have no prior sewing knowledge, you can absolutely take this class.  We will walk you through each step and by the end, my goal is for ya'll to have a nice lap-sized quilt top.  I have chosen to break up the 9 weeks of classes, so it won't be every Saturday for nine weeks straight, as I am assuming people will have other things they want to do.  The class dates are August 24th, September 7th and 14th, October 5th, 12th and 19th and November 2nd, 9th and 16th.  If you want to take the class, and one of these Saturdays doesn't work, I will be happy to meet you at the shop either on a Saturday that isn't a class day or after work during the week to help you with the missed class block.  The blocks we will be making include the rail fence block, four patch block, framed four patch block, nine patch block, snowball block, flying geese block and friendship star block.  The last two classes, we will discuss assembling the quilt top and adding the borders.  We will go over each block in class, and then I am going to ask you to go home and make two additional blocks for practice. That way if you have trouble while doing them on your own, you can bring them back to class, we can look at them and see what we need to do to help you.  I will post a list of supplies by the first of next week.  We will give you a 10% discount on anything your purchase for your classes at the shop.

We only have room for five students at a time in the classroom.  If we have more than that sign up, I am going to do two classes, one from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and the other from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.  If you have a preference for morning or afternoon, please let us know when you sign up.  We need you to pre-register for this class as soon as you know you are interested.  We have three people already signed up, and another three maybes.  I want to be sure that everyone who wants to take this class has the opportunity so the sooner we know who is interested, the quicker we can arrange the schedule accordingly.

DON'T FORGET to keep you eyes and ears open for the new Moda fabric lines we have coming to the shop.  Midwinter Reds by Minck & Simpson and Holly Taylor's Wish You Were Here will be here in September / October in precuts and coordinating bolts.  We have additionally chosen one other line to bring in this fall, and I can't wait....I love all the new fabric lines, but this last one is my favorite....we will have layer cakes, charm squares and jelly rolls as well as a few bolts of coordinating fabric....I can't wait to get my mits on it.... :):)

That's all for now....everyone have a fabulous rest of the week, and I hope to see you soon!

Class, Saturday July 6th and Upcoming Fabric

Morning Everyone!

I wanted to send out a quick reminder about Saturday's class on The 10-minute Block quilt.   This class is $25 per person and begins at 9:00 a.m.  Using only three seams you can make either a 9.5" block (using charm squares) or a 19.5" block (using a layer cake).  This process gives you a beautiful three dimensional look to the block.  The cost of the book is $15.99 and you will need either a charm square pack (I used four for my smaller quilt) of a print and a charm square pack of neutral.  You will need a layer cake of a print and a layer cake of a neutral if you want a larger quilt.  I will have layer cakes available for purchase if you don't have any.  I also have neutral layer cakes and charm squares.  The layer cakes are $34.95 and the charm squares are $8.50 per pack.  Remember, you can always cut a layer cake into four charm packs!  We have two ladies signed up for this class, and would need a third for the class to go ahead.   Please give the shop a call (931-682-3746) or email us at thequiltingframe@gmail.com if you are interested in this class (or any of our classes that are upcoming).  We have room for five in our classroom so bring a friend.  This is a fast, fun way to get a beautiful quilt in a short time using precuts and some border fabric.

I have some exciting news for all our lovely customers....we have placed an order for some new precuts and yardage coming in the fall.  The lines coming are Midwinter Reds by Minck & Simpson and Wish You Were Here by Holly Taylor.  We have layer cakes, charm squares and jelly rolls along with several bolts of coordinating yardage on order.

Midwinter Reds is a beautiful line of fabric featuring lovely tone on tones in rich reds and cocoa brown as well as prints with these reds and browns along with creams and ivory.  We have also ordered several new quilt patterns for this line.

Wish You Were Here is a lovely line with an autumnal color palette - think plum, deep greens in two shades, golds, tan, cream and dark espresso colors..... the large scale print is beautiful with colorful fall foliage on a deep green background....simply gorgeous....

I have ordered some pre-cut patterns to inspire everyone....can't wait to get them in!   We may have one or two more surprises for everyone!  Will let you know when this arrives  in September and October!

Everyone have a safe and happy Fourth of July celebration.  We'll see you soon!

Upcoming classes (Continued)

Sorry about that, but for some reason the blog wouldn't let me put anything else in, so decided at this time of the day (i.e. 5:40 a.m.), I would just put the finishing touches in another blog post.

As always, we need three participants for the classes to go ahead.  We have one lady signed up for the 10-minute block class, and one lady signed up for the Dresden class.  Please give us a call at (931) 682-3746 or email us at thequiltingframe@gmail.com to let us know you are interested in attending.  If you sign up and we don't get enough people to have the class, we will call you as soon as we can to let you know about the cancellation.  You have until the Wednesday before the Saturday class to sign up.  If we don't have enough signed up by Wednesday at 5:00 p.m., the class will be cancelled.  We feel that will give the ones who did sign up plenty of time to be able to make other plans for their Saturdays.

If you have any questions about any of the classes, don't hesitate to contact us.  As always, we look forward to seeing you soon and have a great rest of your week.

Take Care!

Melissa (one of Sandra's Elves).

Upcoming Classes (with Pictures this time :))

Morning All:

Just an update on the upcoming classes available:

June 22nd, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00ish - MACHINE APPLIQUE - $25 per person

This is a beginners class for those who either have never tried machine applique or want to brush up on their skills.  We will be using AccuQuilt Go Sunnbonnet Sue and Overall Sam pre-cut figures with Steam-A-Seam.  You can either bring your own fabric to the shop with Steam A Seam applied and cut the figures from your own fabric (@ .50 cents each).  If you don't have Steam-A-Seam at home, we have some at the shop for purchase.  We will also have some Sue's and Sam's for you to choose from already, precut and ready to go for class @ $2.00 each.  The only other thing you will need are background fabric squares measure 11".  You will need six for this project (or more if you want to make a bigger quilt).  Your sewing machine needs to have the ability to do either a blanket stitch or a satin or zig-zag stitch.  The only other thing you will need is your regular sewing supplies (i.e. scissors, pins, thread, etc) that you will need for sewing.

This is an example of the Overall Sam cut outs we will be using in class.  This was made by Ms. Margaret and quilted at the shop.

July 6th - 10 Minute Block Class - 9:00 a.m. to 12:00ish - $25 per person

I have two of these quilts on display at the shop back in the classroom.  I have made it both with layer cakes and with charm squares.  This is an easy way to get a wonderful quilt in a very short amount of time.  These blocks are made using only three seams per block.  On the layer cake quilt, I played with my embroidery machine and embroidered 20 blocks with the same, Victorian style design and then used those as the centerpiece blocks.  The quilt made with charm squares required four charm packs (or you can cut one layer cake into four charm packs) and one charm pack of solid / neutral charm pack.  I decided to play with the fancy stitches on my sewing machine to tack the edges down for ease in quilting.  On the larger quilt with the embroidered design, I chose to leave the center square loose at the edges, giving it a three dimensional quality.

This is the quilt I made using the 10-minute block method and four packs of "pattern" charm squares and one pack of neurtral colored charm squares.  This quilt was set together on point.

This quilt was put together using two layer cakes and twenty centerpiece squares that had been embroidered. This makes a general queen-sized quilt and can easily be made larger.

Your will need to purchase the pattern book @ $15.99 each as well as layer cakes / charm squares if you don't already have some.  I will have some at the shop for you to choose from, or feel free to bring your own.  This class will be focused on block construction.  Once you have the system down, you will see how quickly you can produce a beautiful quilt for yourself or a friend.

August 3rd - DRESDEN PLATE / GRANDMOTHER'S FAN QUILTS - $25 per person

This class will begin @ 9:00 a.m. and go until 12ish.  With this class, we will be using the pre-cuts from the AccuQuilt Go machine at the shop.  Feel free to bring your chosen fabric to the shop and cut them @ .50 per layer.  You can use either the rounded end blades, the pointed end  blades, or both.  We will have some pre-cut for the class if you choose to buy them from us @ $4.00 per Dresden plate.  You will also need some 16" squares of background fabric.  Also, if you cut your own you will need to choose a fabric for the round centerpiece.  You can make either a Dresden plate or Grandmother's fan block with these cut outs, so it's your choice.  We will be working on block construction during this class.

SALE.....SALE.....SALE....

Morning All:

Just think, a four-letter word that Mama won't fuss at you for saying.....

Ms. Sandra is going fabric shopping on Sunday June 23rd.  She decided to clear some space from her fabric shelves to make room for the new stuff by offering up some great deals to her wonderful customers.  The sale begins on Saturday, June 15th and runs through Saturday, June 22nd.  All of her fabric on bolts will be marked down an additional 20%, her kits and precuts will be marked down an additional 10%; our already made quilts will be marked down 10% as well.   Books and patterns will also be marked down 10%.  Sorry, the quilt batting will not be included in this sale.  Come visit us if you can that week and stock up on great fabric at great prices.

We have a handbag class scheduled for this Saturday, but due to lack of interest I am going to cancel it and reschedule it for a later date.  Since I just got back from vacation, I haven't been able to get the pictures up so everyone can see what it is we are making.  I will let you know when I get that class rescheduled.

I will post some more pictures for upcoming classes this week and let you know what I have on the schedule for the month of July.  Also, for anyone interested, we have a beginner's quilting class beginning the end of August.  We have two people already signed up, so need just one additional to ensure the class will proceed.  If you are interested, please let us know at your earliest convenience.  We have room for a total of five participants, so if you have a couple of friends who are interested, bring them along as well.

I will be sending out an e-mail blast this evening about the upcoming sale.  Everyone take care and enjoy this wonderful sunshine!

Upcoming Class Schedule for June 2013

Morning Everyone!

Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine for the last few days as much as I have.....it seems like spring might actually have sprung....FINALLY!!!

Okay...in June I have the following classes on the schedule:

June 1st - we are having our Block of the Month ladies that Saturday morning....the blocks will be ready the week before if Saturday isn't convenient.  If you have any questions or problems, don't hesitate to stop by and we will help you all we can.  For anyone who may have had any cutting errors, we have extra fabric at the shop so call us or stop by and we will get you what you need!

On Saturday afternoon, I have scheduled another of our ever popular Jelly Roll Race classes.  We had three of these last year, and they were super popular.  We have had a request for a class, so we put it on the schedule.  The class will be from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.  You need a jelly roll and all your usual sewing equipment for this class.  The cost of the class is $25 per person.  We do have some jelly rolls available at the shop for $34.95 (including the new Pheasant Hill Collection by Kansas Trouble Quilters).  This quilt is super easy and can be pieced in one day....what a great option when you need that quick baby shower gift, birthday gift, wedding present or just because.....come join us for what has been a popular and fun class.

June 8th - we have our second handbag class scheduled - the pattern is called the "Steel Ball" Bag, and can be made in one day....it comes in two sizes and you can choose the size you wish to make.  The handles for these bags are metal and will need to be purchased for this class.  The handles come in three colors, polished silver, antique silver and antique bronze.  I have been using my bag now for about 9 months, and I absolutely love it.  It is amazing the amount of space in these, so don't be fooled by their "small" look...

The cost of the class is $25 per person....I will post the cost of the materials as soon as I can (I don't want to quote a price for the handles and then be wrong :)).  I will post the pictures in the next couple of days as well...

June 22nd - Machine Applique Class will be this day from 9:00 a.m. til 11:30ish p.m.  We will be making a Sunbonnet Sue / Overall Sam wall hanging.  The cost of the class is $25 per person.  We will have some Sunbonnet Sue / Overall Sam precut using our AccuQuilt cutting die for you to purchase for this class.  You will need six cut outs, a background fabric and some sashing / border fabric and your wallhanging will be complete.  This class works very well for sewing machines that have either the blanket stitch or the zig zag stitch.  This is a great class for our Block of the Month ladies who either have never done machine applique or want a  brush up class before we do the two applique blocks for our Block of the Month Quilt.

June 29th - This is our Block of the Month morning for the ladies doing our Block of the Month quilt.  Stop by, pick up your next month's block and let us know if we can do anything more to be of service to you....

A REMINDER....our class for this Saturday, May 18th only has one person definitively signed up.  We need at least two more for the class to proceed.  This bag is really a very versatile bag and was the first bag I made.  If you are interested in taking the class, you need to call the store at (931) 682-3746 or email us at thequiltingframe@gmail.com and let us know.  If we don't have three people, we will have to cancel the class.  Pictures of this bag are posted in prior blog posts, if you wish to see one.  The one I made for Sandra is on display at the shop....come and join us four our first ever bag class if you can....

Everyone have a great rest of your week and keep enjoying that sunshine!

Upcoming Classes

Afternoon Everyone!

I just wanted to post a quick reminder about the upcoming classes over the next three weeks.  On Saturday, May 11th from 9:00 a.m. til 11:30ish, we will be having the Five and Dime quilt class.  This quilt is quick and easy to make and is easy to size up or down depending on your needs.  It would look good in many different patterns, 30's, children's, florals, the possibilities are endless.  The cost of the class is $25 per person.  You have to purchase the book, "Loose Change" by Lynn Hagemier of Kansas Trouble Quilters ($19.95) and you will need the ruler set ($19.95 includes the rulers for the layer cake and the charm square).  I have layer cakes, charm square, mini-charms and jelly rolls from Kansas Troubles, "Pheasant Hill".  The layer cakes and jelly rolls are $34.95 each and the charm squares are $8.50 a package.  The mini-charm squares are $4.25 a package.  I am holding all these until we see how many people will want to use them for the class.  The quilt I made is on display at the shop, and there are pictures of the quilt top on my next to the last post.  I have three ladies already signed up for the class, and have room for two more.

On Saturday, May 18th from 9:00 a.m. til 1:00 p.m. (ish), we will be having our first bag class at the shop.  Due to multiple inquiries we have received from clients, we are going to try to have a few classes in bag construction this year.  The first bag we are going to do is from the pattern, "BYOB II" by Whistlepig Creek.  This bag can be made in two sizes (please see my next to the last post for pictures).  The cost of this class is $25 per person and the cost of the kit to make the bag (which includes the pattern) is $44.50 + tax.  Due to the intricacies of making a bag, it will be easier if I do the kits and go ahead and iron on the fusible fleece prior to class, otherwise, it will be an 8 hour class instead of a 4-5 hour class.  We only have one lady signed up for this class and we need a minimum of three or the class will be cancelled.  If you are interested in signing up or have any questions, please call the shop at (931) 682-3746 or email us at thequiltingframe@gmail.com.  The deadline to sign up prior to the class being cancelled is Wednesday, May15th.  This was the first bag I ever made and once you know the process, the possibilities are endless.

Everyone have a safe weekend and try to stay dry...we'll see you soon

BYOB II Bag Class - Addendum

Hey Everyone!

As I mentioned in the last post, our first bag class is scheduled for Saturday, May 18th from 9:00 til maybe 1:00ish.  The cost of the class is $25 per person.  I stated in my last post I would get a cost together for the bag kits for the class.  We did price out the kit this weekend, and cost of the kit is $44.50.  For this price, you will get everything, including the pattern, to make the tote bags pictured in the last post.  This tote bag is so versatile with it being fully lined with interior pockets.  It also comes in two different sizes depending on what your needs are as regards size.  It is a very fun pattern and once you make one, you won't be able to help youself.....you'll want to make one for everyone special in your life!

Give us a call if you are interested at (931) 682-3746 or email us at thequiltingframe@gmail.com.  We have room for five people, so the sign up is first come, first serve.

Hope you all have a fabulous week and we hope to see you soon!

BYOB II Bag Class

Hello All!

As promised, I have more information and pictures for everyone regarding our upcoming bag class at the shop.  First thing, I am going to post some pictures for everyone to see the bag we are going to make.

This pattern is from Whistlepig Creek and is called the BYOB II.  The pattern comes in two sizes, 24" and 21" in width.  It can be made with three pieces of coordinating fabric, charm squares, jelly roll strips...it is extremely versatile.  There are pockets on both sides of the lined interior as well as an over the shoulder handle and side ties.

The class will be on Saturday, May 18th.  Due to time constraints, I believe it will be easier for all and especially for those who haven't done bag construction in the past, for us to provide kits.  I am going to iron on the fusible interfacing used to precut pieces so during the class, we have time to do the actual bag construction.  Prepping for making bags can be about 1/3 to 1/2 of the total time you spend when making bags.  I am planning on the class starting at 9:00 a.m. and lasting until about 1:00ish.  The cost of the class will be $25 per person.  I will do my level best to have a price for the kits by Sunday to post on the blog.

As usual, the class size is limited to five people, and if your sewing machine has a walking foot or similar attachment, you should bring it with you for the class.  If you have any questions, don't hesitate to email us at thequiltingframe@gmail.com.  Please email us if you wish to attend the class, or alternatively you can call the shop at (931) 682-3746 to sign up as well.

Thanks to all our clients, and we hope to hear from you soon!

Have a great rest of your day.

Five and Dime Quilt Class

Good Morning All!

As promised, I have pictures and prices, etc., for the Five and Dime Quilt Class.  The class will be Saturday, May 11th from 9:00 a.m. til 11:30 a.m.  It is the Five and Dime Quilt by Lynn Hagemeier from Kansas Trouble Quilters.  I was lucky enough to meet Ms. Hagemeier while in Houston in October at the Quilt Market.  She had all the pieces up from her new book, Loose Change, along with the rulers she created to assist in the construction.  The cost of the class is going to be $25 plus the cost of the book and materials.  The Book is $19.95 and the two sets of rulers is $19.95.  I have the new line in from Kansas Troubles called Pheasant Hill....I used this to make the quilt for the class.  You need a layer cake and a charm pack to make the quilt pictured below.  The layer cakes are 10% off for the class at $34.95 and the charm pack will be $8.50.  We ordered three bolts of coordinating fabric for this line, two stripes and an all over floral.  The striped fabric we have are a floral with a green background as shown in the picture and the same floral with a tan background instead of green.  The book has many different patterns, all using precuts.  All of these patterns will look good with any set of precuts you have in your stash and are quick and easy patterns to construct.  We already have two ladies signed up for this class, so we have room for three more.  Please call us as soon as you know you are interested so we can be sure we have the books and rulers available for the day of the class.

The quilt pictured above was made with one layer cake and one charm pack as well as 1/2 yd for first inner border and 2-1/3 yard for the outside border (as you can tell I mitered the outside border which always takes a little extra fabric).  It finished at approximately 71 x 81.  Another really great thing about this quilt is that you can easily enlarge it to make any size you wish by adding more blocks.  The construction is very quick and easy.

For the class, you will need the usual sewing supplies you use, as well as the materials mentioned above.  Give the shop a call at (931) 682-3746 or email us at thequiltingframe@gmail.com if you are interested in joining us for this extremely fun class.

I am going to post more information later about the bag class we have scheduled for Saturday, May 18th.  Take care and talk to you all soon!

Hello Everyone!

Morning All:

First things first, I wanted to let everyone know that the shop is back open on it's regular hours.  I am going to be sending an email blast out, so if you get this message twice, let me apologize beforehand.  Thankfully, tax season is almost over and I am very excited at the prospect of being able to go home while there is still light in the sky.

For all those wonderful ladies at our Block of the Month meeting on the 30th of March, hello again!  I hope you all haven't had any problems and are looking forward to our next meeting the lasat Saturday of April.  During our BOM meeting, I had told ya'll I would be publishing a class schedule within the next week or so.  I was obviously being slightly overly optimistic....this tax season has swallowed me hook, line and sinker this year and I haven't even been at my sewing machine for more than an hour in the last going on four weeks.  I think withdrawal symptoms are setting in....... :)

Okay, I am moving both of the May classes back by one week...so the Five and Dime Quilt class will be Saturday, May 11th and the Tote bag class will be Saturday May 18th.  I promise to have prices, etc., up on the blog this weekend.  I also hope to have the picture of the Five and Dime Quilt top ready Sunday so I can post pictures.

For the bag class on May 18th, due to time constraints and the process, I am going to have kits available for purchase for the class.  I think I am going precut the fabric and go ahead and put the batting on them so that when we get together, we will be able to work on the construction itself of the bag.  If anyone has any ideas other than this, please email me.  I am always open to suggestions.  If we don't go the kit route, it will probably be an all day class, especially for those who haven't done bag construction before.

Also, Larry is well on the mend so the shop hours are back to normal.

Ya'll have a good weekend, and I will talk to you soon!

Upcoming Class Schedule

Morning All....again:

I didn't want to combine this with the BOM message, in case things get lost in the shuffle.  I can finally see the tiniest of glimmers of light at the end of the long tunnel I call tax season.  I have been working on the Block of the Month quilt and have been putting together a class schedule.  I am going to post pictures of the projects and the tentative dates in the next week or so.  I am planning on doing some new quilts with fabric we ordered in Houston at the Quilt Market, a quick and easy quilt top to make with either charm squares or layer cakes, and I have several bag classes scheduled for those ladies who have been requesting the same.  I will post the schedule, pictures, prices, etc., in the next week or so so everyone can begin to plan which ones they want to attend.

I look very forward to all the classes I am lucky enough to be able to teach, and have learned something from each and everyone of the quilters I have been lucky enough to meet, either in my prior classes or just down at the shop on Saturdays.  I look forward to seeing old quilting friends again, and meeting all the new ones yet to come.

Everyone take care and have a great rest of your week!

Melissa

First Meeting for the Block of the Month Club

Morning All:

I am so excited about the upcoming Block of the Month Club meeting on March 30th.  I have already started on my version of the block of the month quilt, and am thinking about making another one in another color way.  This quilt truly is stunning and I can't wait for all of our participants to be able to get started on their quilts.

Ms. Sandra will be placing the order for additional books the first of the week.  We have either 7 or 8 ladies already signed up.  If you are interested or think you might be and you can, please let us know as soon as you can.  We want to be sure we have enough books for everyone for the first club meeting.  Please email us at thequiltingframe@gmail.com or call the shop at (931) 682-3746.

Take Care!

Completed Block of the Month Quilt!

Morning All:

We are so excited to share with ya'll our completed Block of the Month Quilt.  Hot off my quilting frame Monday, we are very, very pleased with the results.  Well...judge for yourselves:

Margaret, Melissa and I are so pleased with how the colors turned out.  It does measure approximately 94 x 104 so we had to curl the bottom of the quilt up as it was too long for the wall hanger....but it is exactly like the top border.  We used 108" Blank lining fabric, and if you look at the backside of the quilt, you are really able to see the quilting we chose for this.

Okay, just a quick reminder of the details of the Tales of the First Ladies Block of the Month.   Sign up fee is $40 (+ tax)  (if you make it to the end, you will receive a $30 store credit to use on anything you choose except quilting services).  Each month, you will receive the fabric to make two identical blocks.  The cost per month is $25 + tax.  For this price, you will receive the pattern book and all the fabric to make the top of the quilt.  You will also receive 4 yards of steam a seam which you will need to do the four machine applique blocks in the quilt.  Melissa is going to make these the last two blocks of the club, so she will have time to set up a beginner's machine applique class for those ladies who have yet to try machine applique so they will feel more confident when tackling these.  The machine applique blocks in the quilt  are very easy and you will be more than capable after taking the beginner's machine applique class to tackle these blocks.  When Melissa gets that scheduled, we will put it out on the blog.

Now, we have two ladies who were so excited they have already signed up and paid their fee.  We have six books we bought at the Quilt Market.  If you are interested, please sign up by March 15th if at all possible.  If we need to order additional books, we want to be sure we have them in before our first meeting on Saturday March 30th at 9:30 a.m.  You are more than welcome to sign up whenever you choose, but if you sign up after March 15th, you may not have a book to start with as we are only ordering books for those who have registered by the 15th of March.  We will get you a book, it just may take a week or so to get it in.

Now, for the fun stuff.  Melissa will be holding the meetings and will have handouts with dates, etc., at your first meeting regarding meeting times, etc.  As we have told everyone in the past, if you can't make it every week, we will be happy to mail the blocks to you (with a small additional charge for postage), or hold them til you can make it in.  If you want to make the quilt but have a hard time traveling, we will be happy to keep your credit card number on file and just mail these packets out to you each month.  Just let us know what works best, and we will do our best to be as accommodating as possible.  Melissa will be demonstrating some new rulers we picked up in Houston that are used for this quilt for some of these blocks.  We have these available for purchase in the store should you choose to use them.  Melissa is a huge fan of the flying geese rulers and the triangle square up ruler and is excited to show you how much easier this will make it for some of ya'll.  We have an autographed copy of the book which one lucky participant will win, and there will be other things that will be given away during our first meeting.

We are so beyond excited about this, and hope you all will join us for what will be a lot of fun.  Please email us at thequiltingframe@gmail.com or call the shop at 931-682-3746 as soon as you know you want to participate.  Melissa will be sending out an email blast to everyone on our mailing list to let them know the quilt pictures are available for viewing on the blog.  If you have any question, please don't hesitate to email us and we will do our best to answer all of your questions.

Hope you all stay warm and have a great rest of your week.  Talk to ya'll soon!

Look at what I have been working on....

Hey everyone!

I am so excited.....Margaret, Melissa and I have got all the blocks done for the Block of the Month quilt.  In my spare time today at the shop, I have been working on the centerpiece of the quilt.  For those of you who will be joining us for this Block of the Month, you will see in the book there are various options for the centerpiece.  This is the one I liked the best, and so chose to use it in the display quilt.  The eagle in the center is from an AccuQuilt Go die that one of my friends ordered and is letting us borrow for the kits for the club.  Here is a picture that I took today when I got everything laid out just the way I wanted.  Consider this a sneak peek of the quilt to come.  We hope to have the top finished sometime next week and hopefully on display in the shop shortly thereafter.  We will be, of course, putting pictures here and will e-mail blast everyone that it is ready for viewing.  Hope you all like it....and hope to talk to you all very soon!

Have a great rest of your weekend!

Update on our New Block of the Month

Morning All!

Hope everyone's Monday wasn't too awful!  At least we finally got some sunshine....YEA....this time of year that is a precious commodity.

Wanted to let everyone know we are working feverishly on the quilt.  We are working on the last two blocks and hopefully will have it finished by next week so we can post some pictures for you all to see.  We think the fabric is just gorgeous for these blocks.   Margaret, Melissa and I have also learned a few new things while doing this quilt.  We found out that when we follow the directions in the book, things turn out exactly the way they are supposed to....and when you don't, you realize you probably should have.  Eleanor Burns shows some different ways to do some tried and true quilt blocks and patterns.  Melissa says she doesn't know when she ever did without the triangle square up ruler....

We have done the calculating, and have decided the cost of the club will be $25.00 + tax ( = $27.31) per month for the 10 months of the program.  That price includes all the fabric pieces for the quilt top plus the book we will be using for the quilt pattern.  It also includes the Steam A Seam (four yards) you will need for the five applique blocks.  If you want to participate and can't make it to the once a month meetings, we can either hold it for you until you can get by or mail you the kits at an additional charge to cover packaging and postage.  The first eight months of the club, you will receive the fabric to make two identical blocks of the same pattern.  The ninth month, we will be doing the center piece, and the tenth month will be borders.  There are several specialty rulers recommended for use in making this quilt.  Melissa and I purchased ours in Houston after we used them during the class we took with Ms. Burns.  We have ordered some of the specialty rulers and have them at the shop.  Melissa will be demonstrating how to use these rulers.  If you wish to purchase the rulers, they are available at an additional charge.

As soon as we have it completed, we will be posting pictures for all to see.  Once you have decided you definitely wish to participate, please let us know and get us the registration fee as soon as possible.  We have six books for this program purchased, and if we need to order more, we want to be sure we have them in time for the first meeting on Saturday, March 30th beginning at 9:30 a.m.  We will only be ordering the number of books needed for those who have registered for the club.  Don't forget, for the first class we have one copy of book we will be giving away that is autographed by the author herself.  There will also be some additional give aways that day.

Please, give us a call at the shop at (931) 682-3746 if you have any questions, or email us at thequiltingframe@gmail.com.  Everyone have a great week!

We've Been Shopping....

Morning All:

Hope you are all having a great week now that we have gotten over the worst.....MONDAYS....UGHHH.

The girls and I went shopping this past Sunday and we have some new fabric for everyone.  We also have some more of the colored tone on tone 108" quilt backing pieces.  Stop by next time you are in and see what new we have you haven't seen.

Also, wanted to let all of you ladies who are thinking about the Tales of the First Ladies Block of the Month club know we now have the fabric for the quilt and will begin construction very, very soon.  We are using Marcus Brothers fabric and the color palette is a civil war type using blues, greens, reds, golds, browns and cream.  Most of the fabric for the quilt is Judy Rothermel's lines for Marcus Brothers.  We are very excited to get this quilt together as we believe it is going to be truly stunning.  Also, we will be able to give the price per month within the next week for those who need to know for budgeting.

Another little note to keep in the back of your mind, we will be getting in the Kansas Troubles Quilters new Pheasant Hill Collection of precuts and a couple of bolts as well.  We have ordered jelly rolls, dessert rolls, layer cakes, charm squares and mini charms.  We also have Lynn Hagemier's new book, Loose Change, and the new rulers for her really stunning and easily constructed quilts.  We will be offering a class on this in the spring.  As soon as we get this in we will let everyone know so you can come pick up the precuts needed.

We hope to see you all very soon.  Take Care!

NEW Block of the Month Club

Morning Everyone:

The time has come!!!  YEA!!!  We are going to start taking sign ups for our new Block of the Month club  featuring Eleanor Burns "Tales of the First Ladies".  This will be a 10 month block of the month club.  The cost to sign up for the club is $40  and will be collected at the time you register, however, at the end of the club, everyone who finishes will receive a $30 STORE CREDIT to spend on anything you choose (except quilting services).  What a great way to help pay for the backing needed for your quilt.  The quilt size is (according to the book) 94" x 104".  As soon as we choose the fabrics, we will be able to give you a per month price (hopefully the first week of February as we are going fabric shopping the last weekend of January).  As quickly as we get the fabric, we will make one to put in the shop for everyone to see.  Melissa will be spearheading this BOM club, and she has chosen the first date as Saturday, March 30th from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m.

We will meet again the last Saturday of every month.  The new blocks will be ready for pick up on this day, and if you are having any problems or have any questions, we can come together and discuss it.  Plus, show and tell is so much fun..... :):)  We will have some door prizes to be given away the first meeting, and we had Ms. Burns herself autograph a copy which we will give away the first meeting, as well.

If you know you want to participate, please sign up ASAP.  It would help us tremendously to have some idea of how many people are interested in joining, so we can get an estimate as to the amount of fabric we need to buy to ensure everyone who wants to participate can participate.  We are tremendously excited about this, and hope everyone joins us for what will be a fun club and a gorgeous quilt.  As usual, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call the shop at (931)  682-3746 or email us at thequiltingframe@gmail.com if you have any questions.

Everyone have a fabulous week, and stay WARM and DRY :)

See you soon!
