BYOB II Bag Class

Hello All!

As promised, I have more information and pictures for everyone regarding our upcoming bag class at the shop.  First thing, I am going to post some pictures for everyone to see the bag we are going to make.

This pattern is from Whistlepig Creek and is called the BYOB II.  The pattern comes in two sizes, 24" and 21" in width.  It can be made with three pieces of coordinating fabric, charm squares, jelly roll strips...it is extremely versatile.  There are pockets on both sides of the lined interior as well as an over the shoulder handle and side ties.

The class will be on Saturday, May 18th.  Due to time constraints, I believe it will be easier for all and especially for those who haven't done bag construction in the past, for us to provide kits.  I am going to iron on the fusible interfacing used to precut pieces so during the class, we have time to do the actual bag construction.  Prepping for making bags can be about 1/3 to 1/2 of the total time you spend when making bags.  I am planning on the class starting at 9:00 a.m. and lasting until about 1:00ish.  The cost of the class will be $25 per person.  I will do my level best to have a price for the kits by Sunday to post on the blog.

As usual, the class size is limited to five people, and if your sewing machine has a walking foot or similar attachment, you should bring it with you for the class.  If you have any questions, don't hesitate to email us at thequiltingframe@gmail.com.  Please email us if you wish to attend the class, or alternatively you can call the shop at (931) 682-3746 to sign up as well.

Thanks to all our clients, and we hope to hear from you soon!

Have a great rest of your day.

Melissa (one of Sandra's Elves)
