Morning All:
Hope you are all having a great week now that we have gotten over the worst.....MONDAYS....UGHHH.
The girls and I went shopping this past Sunday and we have some new fabric for everyone. We also have some more of the colored tone on tone 108" quilt backing pieces. Stop by next time you are in and see what new we have you haven't seen.
Also, wanted to let all of you ladies who are thinking about the Tales of the First Ladies Block of the Month club know we now have the fabric for the quilt and will begin construction very, very soon. We are using Marcus Brothers fabric and the color palette is a civil war type using blues, greens, reds, golds, browns and cream. Most of the fabric for the quilt is Judy Rothermel's lines for Marcus Brothers. We are very excited to get this quilt together as we believe it is going to be truly stunning. Also, we will be able to give the price per month within the next week for those who need to know for budgeting.
Another little note to keep in the back of your mind, we will be getting in the Kansas Troubles Quilters new Pheasant Hill Collection of precuts and a couple of bolts as well. We have ordered jelly rolls, dessert rolls, layer cakes, charm squares and mini charms. We also have Lynn Hagemier's new book, Loose Change, and the new rulers for her really stunning and easily constructed quilts. We will be offering a class on this in the spring. As soon as we get this in we will let everyone know so you can come pick up the precuts needed.
We hope to see you all very soon. Take Care!

NEW Block of the Month Club
Morning Everyone:
The time has come!!! YEA!!! We are going to start taking sign ups for our new Block of the Month club featuring Eleanor Burns "Tales of the First Ladies". This will be a 10 month block of the month club. The cost to sign up for the club is $40 and will be collected at the time you register, however, at the end of the club, everyone who finishes will receive a $30 STORE CREDIT to spend on anything you choose (except quilting services). What a great way to help pay for the backing needed for your quilt. The quilt size is (according to the book) 94" x 104". As soon as we choose the fabrics, we will be able to give you a per month price (hopefully the first week of February as we are going fabric shopping the last weekend of January). As quickly as we get the fabric, we will make one to put in the shop for everyone to see. Melissa will be spearheading this BOM club, and she has chosen the first date as Saturday, March 30th from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m.
We will meet again the last Saturday of every month. The new blocks will be ready for pick up on this day, and if you are having any problems or have any questions, we can come together and discuss it. Plus, show and tell is so much fun..... :):) We will have some door prizes to be given away the first meeting, and we had Ms. Burns herself autograph a copy which we will give away the first meeting, as well.
If you know you want to participate, please sign up ASAP. It would help us tremendously to have some idea of how many people are interested in joining, so we can get an estimate as to the amount of fabric we need to buy to ensure everyone who wants to participate can participate. We are tremendously excited about this, and hope everyone joins us for what will be a fun club and a gorgeous quilt. As usual, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call the shop at (931) 682-3746 or email us at thequiltingframe@gmail.com if you have any questions.
Everyone have a fabulous week, and stay WARM and DRY :)
See you soon!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Morning All:
Just wanted to say Happy New Year to all of you we didn't see last weekend for our end of year sale, and we'll repeat it for those we did see... :)
I want to say a quick thank you to all the ladies who attended my classes last year. I very much enjoyed the time I got to spend with each of you, and was privileged to be the one to assist you on your quilting journey. I sincerely hope I get to see ya'll again in the coming year for some more quilting fun. I am already thinking of classes I want to teach starting in the spring. We will be doing our Block of the Month starting in April of 2013 based on Eleanor Burns Tales of the First Ladies. This makes a large queen/small king size bed quilt. Sandra, Margaret and I will be choosing the fabric shortly and will have a quilt up ASAP for everyone to see. The cost of the club will be $40 at the time you sign up. The cost of the blocks per month will be determined when we choose the fabric. We will give you more details as soon as we can. If you know you want to join us for this Block of the Month, go ahead and either email us at thequiltingframe@gmail.com or call the store at (931) 682-3746 and sign up. It would very much help us to know approximately how many of you ladies will be joining us for this fun project. The meeting for this Block of the Month will be the last Saturday of the Month for one hour. This will give us time to talk about the upcoming block, and discuss any problems anyone is having.
I also had an idea for a series of classes based on one of my class attendees suggestion. I am considering doing a "Bag of the Month" class. We have had several ladies ask about making bags of all types, so I am thinking this may be something others will be interested in learning. I have tried 3 new bag patterns and will try some more while I am doing taxes over the next four months and will let ya'll know when I have the dates and times set.
Last, but not least, I wanted to remind everyone about my Dresden Plate class scheduled for Saturday, January 19th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The cost of the class is $30 per person. We will make one Dresden block in it's entirety. I need three people signed up for this class to go ahead so please let us know as soon as you know you want to attend. The maximum number we can accommodate is five people, so the sooner you sign up, the better. Ms. Sandra ordered the AccuQuilt Go cutting die for the Dresden petals, so you can cut them out with that at the store. Just give her a call and let her know when you want to stop by and use the cutter, or, if there is a particular color, etc., we can cut them for you at the store for a small fee. Let us know how we may assist you, and we will be happy to do so.
To all my quilting friends, I am so looking forward to the beautiful projects, the laughs and the fun upcoming in 2013 for all of us. Have a great January!

Upcoming Year End Sale
Morning All:
Hope everyone had a safe and happy Thanksgiving Holiday last weekend!!
We have a couple of things upcoming we wanted to let everyone know about. The first thing we wanted to let everyone know about is the shop hours over the upcoming Christmas/New Year season. The shop will be closed on Monday, December 24th through Thursday, December 27th. The store will also be closed on December 31st through January 1st.
The good news for everyone is the upcoming Year End sale. Ms. Sandra has scheduled her annual year end sale for Friday, December 28th and Saturday, December 29th. She hasn't yet decided on details of the sale, but wanted to be sure we gave our friends plenty of notice so you can plan to see us on this sale weekend.
I wanted to remind everyone about my upcoming (and last of the season) quilting class. It will be the Dresden Plate class and it is scheduled for January 19th beginning at 9:00 a.m. The cost of the class is $30 per person. We will be making a Dresden block during class. I will have a supply list available toward the middle of December for those who wish to take the class. Our class size is limited to five people and I believe we only have one lady who has expressed interest in attending. The great news is Ms. Sandra has the Dresden Plate AccuQuilt Go cutting die at the store. You can cut the petals out using the die and it is so much faster and easier than before. If you want to use the die to cut your own fabric for class, the cost is $.50 per 4 petals (or one cut). You need 20 petals for the Dresden Plate. If you have any questions, please feel free to call the shop at (931) 682-3746 or email us at thequiltingframe@gmail.com.
I will post further details regarding the sale as soon as I get them from Ms. Sandra so ya'll have plenty of time to make plans to come see us.
Ms. Sandra has a special request to one of our quilting clients, Ms. Barbara Owen. If you read this, would you please give the shop a call at the number listed above. We have lost your phone number and wanted to let you know your quilt is ready.
Everyone take care, be safe and have the Merriest Christmas Season ever!!!

Good Afternoon All!
Hello to All of our Quilting Friends:
Sandra and I made it back from Market on Tuesday about 2:00 in the afternoon - that 1500+ miles is no joke, let me tell you. We were all glad to get home once again.
I wanted to post a few pictures of things from quilt market and let you know about some upcoming classes and thoughts for possible classes in the future.
We still have room for at least one more person in the December 8th Jelly Roll Race class if anyone else is interested. Please call the shop at 931-682-3746 or email us at thequiltingframe@gmail.com and let us know of your interest as soon as you know. We only have two people signed up for the November 17th Beginner's Machine Applique class on November 17th. We need at least one other person to join if the class is to go ahead....again, let us know if you are interested as soon as you can.
We also have the Dresden Plate class scheduled for Saturday, January 19th. We received the AccuQuilt Go cutting die for those who wish to use it to cut the pieces for the plate....we have two people interested in this class, and we need at least one more for it to happen....
I have had several requests about bag classes....I found a pattern and tutorial and made several of these tote bags (picture below). I also purchased some handbag hardware and Sandra and I took a bag class at Market. I am going to be working on mastering all of this and plan on doing some classes after tax season next year.
In addition, Sandra and I had the pleasure of taking a class with Ms. Eleanor Burns. She was featuring her new book coming out, Tales of First Ladies. Ms. Burns was very kind and funny and we enjoyed the class immensely.
We have had several inquiries about Block of the Month clubs that are not geared toward a particular Holiday, so we have decided to do a Block of the Month club beginning in April of next year based on her new book, Tales of the First Ladies. The book shows the quilt put together in many different ways using the eight blocks from the quilt. This quilt's versatility lends itself very well to anyone's interpretation of layout and you will have a simply stunning quilt. The finished quilt is a large queen size featuring 12" finished blocks. She autographed one of the books which will be given away the first Saturday the club meets. We are thinking of meeting the last Saturday of the month at the shop, say from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., so we can talk about any problems, bring the prior months blocks in for show and tell and let us know if there is anything we can do to be of help with the success of your project. There will be a $40 sign up fee for this class, however, for those who make it to the end, we will take the $40 off of any backing fabric you choose to pick out at the shop for your quilt. We will begin sign up probably around the first of the year, unless you already know for sure you wish to participate, and then you can go ahead and let us know. We haven't picked out fabric yet, and don't know what the price per month will be as of yet. As soon as we do, we will let you know so you can make a decision regarding participation. I took a picture of the quilt on the fron the book, so you can have an idea what the quilt will look like.....come join me for this fun and fabulous BOM club....
Come by the shop and we will have the book on display....
I'll have more pictures in the future....everyone take care and have a good weekend!
