Ladies and Gentlemen:
On this brisk autumn morning, I hope everyone is warm and cozy and snuggled up under that favorite quilt you made!!! We wanted to let everyone know that due to lack of interest at this time, the Double Irish Chain class has been cancelled for this Saturday, October 22, 2011. We do still have the Labyrinth classes on the schedule to start on Saturday, November 5th. If you are interested, please call the store and register. The cost is $30 for the class and $9.00 for the pattern (I know I previously said $8.00, but it seems I can't read my own handwriting :)) We can have 4 per class, and if there is enough interest, we will do another class on the 12th of November.
Also, I wanted to let everyone know about my Christmas cut off. In order for us to guarantee we can get your quilt back to you for The Most Wonderful Time of the Year, we need you to have it to us at the shop by Saturday, October 29th. Any quilts that come in after that time may or may not be back to you before Christmas. As many of you know, I am usually running about 6-8 weeks on turnaround time.
If anyone has any ideas about classes they would like to see us teach, please either e-mail us or comment here on the blog page. As classes are a new endeavor for this shop, we could use all the quilter feedback we can get as regard to what interests you at the moment. You can email us at thequiltingframe@gmail.com.
I hope everyone has a warm, bright and fun weekend ahead!

Hello Everyone.....
Hope ya'll have had a great week. It seems Fall has sprung overnight......literally. Two days ago the trees in my yard had started to change to the smallest degree to yellow and now they are laying all over the ground.....I guess enjoying the fall colors isn't happening at my house :):):)
We had a great time last Saturday during the Tennessee Trails yard sale. We had a huge turnout at the shop and had many new visitors stop by. The great thing was those people who kept saying, "we knew you were here, but never stopped in to say Hi". We heard a lot of people talk about Mama's and Grandma's quilt tops that have been sitting in the closet. We sure hope they get quilted some day....there is nothing quite as comforting on a cool fall day than to curl up under a cozy quilt and take a nap or read a book......almost like getting a hug from that special person who made the quilt top.
We drew the winner of our Middle Tennessee Shop Hop grand prize door prize this last week. Ms. Susan Dies was the lucky winner of a 50% discount on her next quilting service at The Quilting Frame. We contacted her by telephone to tell her the good news, and we hope to see her soon!
We have talked in the past about Ms. Margaret, who makes the quilt tops for our clients and friends. For the last several years, T-shirt quilts have become very popular. They are a fabulous way to memorialize one's time during school or college, a journey though sports programs.....she has done baby clothes quilts for those Mom's who have kept their children's baby clothes and turn them into baby quilts for their grandchildren. We have done Harley Davidson T-shirt quilts for motorcycling enthusiasts, concert T-shirt quilts for the music buffs....it helps extend the life of the T-shirt while being able to display some those wonderful memories of times past. The picture below is a T-shirt quilt she did recently for a client of ours, a young lady. We wanted everyone to see what we are talking about when we say a T-shirt quilt. If you are interested in having something like this made, call the shop and let us know you want to bring some things in, and we will walk you through the process step by step. Our turn around time on quilts is about 6-8 weeks, so now would be the time to bring your clothing to us to make quilts if you need them back by Christmas.
Well, last but not least, I wanted to let ya'll know about upcoming classes. We will be having our second Double Irish Chain class on October 22nd from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. We have room for four quilters, so if you are interested, please call the shop and let us know. We need at least 3 quilters to have the class happen, so don't hesitate to call us to reserve your spot. The cost is $35 per person plus the cost of the pattern book ($23.95 + tax). When you call to let us know you are coming, we will discuss what materials need to be brought to class. There will be a pre-class fabric cutting assignment. If we don't have three quilters scheduled by Wednesday, October 19th, the class will not happen. We need to have time to contact those who did sign up and let them make other arrangements for their Saturday.
The much anticipated Labyrinth pattern class will be on Saturday, November 5th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The cost is $30 per person plus the cost of the pattern ($8.00). We have had many people interested in this class, so if the interest persists, we may have duplicate classes on November 12th and November 19th. We have room for four quilters per class, so make sure you call and let us know you want to come.
Ya'll have a great weekend, and keep quilting!!!

What a great time we had.....
Morning Everyone!
I wanted to thank all the Shop Hop participants who came by the shop during the last week. We appreciated seeing each and every one of you. There was a lot of fun had by all, some great buys were gotten by the shoppers and hopefully we will see all your projects in time for the June 2012 Tennessee challenge!
We have some new classes to talk about! We are going to have another class on the Double Irish Chain for any of those who couldn't make the last one. It is going to be on Saturday, October 22nd from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The cost of the class will be $30 dollars per person plus the cost of the pattern book ($23.95 + tax). The project book has several, relative simple fat quarter patterns for your future enjoyment in addition to the pattern we need for the class. Please come by or call us if you are interested as class size is limited.
We are going to be having classes on the Labyrinth pattern in November. The first class will be on Saturday, November 5th. The cost of the class will be $30 plus the cost of the pattern ($9.00). We have had lots of interest in this class, so we are setting aside Saturday, November 12th and Saturday, November 19th for additional classes if the interest is enough to warrant these additional classes. The classes will be from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. each Saturday. Please call us to let us know if you are interested and there will be a list of items needed available when you call to register. The Labyrinth pattern gives you directions for sizes from lap (58" x 58") to king (118" x 118"). We will be learning the smallest size (58" x 58") in class. Class size is limited to a maximum of 4 persons per class, so please call ASAP if you are interested!
Thanks again to all of those quilters we had the pleasure of seeing during the week of Shop Hop 2011. Can't wait for next year!!!
